The instructors understand that what might work for one student might be challenging for another. That is why we incorporate visuals with narratives that entail detailed summaries of the art of barbering.

OUR LOCATION
We are happy to serve the Metro Area! Moler Barber School was first established by A.B. Moler in 1893 in Chicago, Illinois. In 1893 he also wrote the first barbering textbook, “The Moler Manual of Barbering”. In 1899, he started franchising other schools nationwide! His success is known across the Nation and is know as the “Moler System of Barber Colleges”. And we are thrilled to be part of this rich history. We are located in the Metro area just a few minutes North of downtown Minneapolis. Our address is 4801 Central Avenue Columbia Heights, MN 55421.
Class is held every Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:30a-11:30a.
During this time we cover every single aspect related to barbering. By the way did
you know that barbering involves learning about general anatomy, professionalism,
chemistry, and business! Yes, we cover all subjects and interrelate them with our
own barbing experience! Monday through Saturday we are hands-on training. We
are open to the general public for all grooming services! What a better way to learn
than by actually practicing hands-on! And of course under the supervision of an
instructor at all times!

Learning to cut hair did not come easy for me. I learned from instructors that were very patient with me. I wanted to become an instructor to give that back. Watching the students grow from start to finish is most rewarding.

My passion for the industry came when my friend used to cut my hair and tell me tall tales. How can one make a living telling tall tales? Well I’m definitely not up to being a comedian as I needed the steady income so I became a barber! And life has been great ever since! Teaching is a way to give back to the community that supported my beginnings!

Being an instructor while at the same time belonging to generation z gives me a perspective of how social media has had an impact in our industry. The yellow pages were great for advertising at one point and I find it intriguing how social media took over. Yes, I can definitely teach you how to cut hair but at the same time guide you through situational challenges faced in a barber shop setting.

Our staff is committed to graduate every student that enrolls in the program and be licensed with an array of versatile barbering skills. Not only are we instructors but we are also barbers that serve the community we live in. This give us the edge on current trends and events!
